The newly established BA programme in Translation opened in 2016 will provide students with the learning opportunities to have a solid foundation in the use of Chinese and English languages, to master the basic skills and knowledge for doing translation and interpreting and to become competent professionals in cross cultural communication and in providing language services to meet market needs. The curriculum is optimally designed, which focuses on issues of the contemporary society and covers a wide range of topics in different areas so that our students can become lifelong learners. With the help of language labs, CAT and other IT-based facilities for the learning activities, our students will become acquainted with new technologies in the field and become efficient users. Students graduating from our BA programme will enjoy a wide range of opportunities for employment and for career development.
